A Little about Me
I am originally from France and have spent many years living in Paris. Since my teen years, I have observed our culture's preoccupation with weight. It was all around, on TV, magazines, classmates experimenting with dieting, skipping meals. Ignoring feelings was more valued than sitting with one's emotions. I am familiar with the experience of feeling imperfect and vulnerable. Like many people, I have tried to avoid these difficult emotions, often ineffectively, relying on food.
In my adult life, I learned about mindfulness within the scientific context when I studied nutrition counseling. Mindfulness and acceptance are rooted in compassion and align with my personal values of kindness and optimism. In my practice of counseling, I have met many individuals whose incredible courage and strong desire to heal their relationship with food, has impressed me. They ended up at my doorstep after years of struggling with mindless eating, hoping that I had an alternative approach to offer. |

As we sat together, I explained it took more than changing their eating habits, but also to learn to handle emotions, without food.
Finding new ways to nurture yourself without food is life-changing. It can liberate you from emotional eating. You can pick up the mindfulness tool and allow you to disconnect emotions from food, finding a healthier and happier you, body, and mind.

My interest in the environment naturally led to nutrition as I believe that balanced meals, reliable food sources, clean drinking water, and sustainable agricultural systems contribute all to the well-being of our community.
